HISTORY
Split Back Veer from Under Center emerged in the 1960’s, credited to head coach Bill Yeoman of University of Houton. Fellow Hall-of-Fame coach Tom Osborne used the Veer extensively, winning several national titles at University of Nebraska out of the I-Back formation. The Veer gained notoriety in the spread genre when Rich Rodriguez ran it at West Virginia.
